The Mattingly Family Reunion is held annually on the second Sunday in August. The Reunion takes place at the shelter house at St. Mary’s Church at Mattingly Settlement, Muskingum County, Ohio. The first Mattingly Reunion took place in 1918 and has been held each year since.
Please join us for this year’s reunion and pass along the word to your family!
My grandmother was Rosalia Mattingly and I have the old family bible from 1802.
Hi Marilyn,
Would your grandmother be the Rosalia married to James Thomas Mattingly (born 1836?). If so, I suspect the bible belonged to his grandparents, John and Onea. John was born 1773. My parents are both descendents of him (and therefore fourth cousins of each other!)
Is there any family history written in the bible?

Happy 200th Anniversary of the founding of Mattingly Settlement!
I’ve highlighted your family’s inspiring story of faith here at The Catholic Gene blog within my article “William’s Faith and Fortitude: The 200th Anniversary of Mattingly Settlement”. http://catholicgene.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/williams-faith-and-fortitude-the-200th-anniversary-of-mattingly-settlement/
Have a great 2012 Mattingly Family Reunion!
